Christina Masureik

Founder & Business Manager

Christina Masureik is the founder and business manager of South Seas Properties, bringing a dynamic blend of marketing expertise, hospitality experience, and a deep love for coastal living. Originally from San Diego, California, Christina studied Marketing and Communications at San Diego State University before moving to South Africa in 2008.

She began her career in events and digital marketing, successfully running Star Social Media and Event Stars, which she sold in 2015 to focus on raising a family. While balancing motherhood, Christina transitioned into real estate, managing long-term rentals in the Atlantic Seaboard with Engel & Völkers before moving to Kommetjie in 2019. There, she discovered her passion for short-term rentals, building the South Seas Properties portfolio from the ground up.Today, Christina lives in Kommetjie with her husband and three sons. She loves hosting homes, welcoming international guests, and embracing the laid-back Kommetjie lifestyle—filled with running, time at the sea, and, of course, a great glass of wine!

Ash Henderson Kobak

Operations Manager

With an extensive background in luxury hospitality, guest services, and property management, Ash Henderson Kobak brings a wealth of expertise to South Seas Properties as the Operations Manager. Originally from Malawi, Ash pursued tertiary studies in Cape Town before gaining international experience at the Tre-Ysgawen Hall Hotel and Spa in the UK, where she spent 18 months refining her skills in spa treatments and front desk operations.

She then joined Kaya Mawa Luxury Resort on Likoma Island, overseeing bespoke guest experiences, daily excursions, and high-end hospitality coordination.Returning to South Africa, Ash spent five years managing Lauriston Guest House in Pretoria, a boutique guesthouse with 20 rooms, ensuring excellence in guest relations, staff coordination, and operations management. After taking time off to focus on family, she launched a successful family-run gift shop at Imhoff Farm, now in its third year.Ash’s passion for hospitality, organization, and guest experience makes her a key part of South Seas Properties, ensuring every home under our care meets the highest standards of comfort and service.
